Calaway Park is a great place to spend a day with family members. It is Western Canada’s largest outdoor amusement park.
It is located in Calgary, Alberta. It is approximately 23 km away from Calgary by road.
There are a lot of things to do at Calaway Park. There are so many rides for children such as Super Trucks, Hilltop Railway, Swirly Twirl, Tot Yachts, Carousel, and many more.
But, for the safety of the traveller’s rides are subject to height restrictions. Travellers can measure their height at the front entrance “Ride-O-Meter” and also at guest services.
“I enjoyed all the rides, and I had a wonderful time at Calaway Park,” said Amandeep Kaur, a park visitor.
“There are so many rides in this park such as Balloon Ascension, Aeromax, Dream Machine, and Ocean Motion, but my favourite one is Aeromax,” said Kaur.
Shows and events:
There are many family shows that take place in the park, especially in June and July, such as Calaway Park Season Pass Pre-Show, Rad Dad Day, Calaway Comic Fest for kids, and Canadian Heroes Weekend.
“It is the best way to spend time with family, and it is better to visit during morning time,” said Kaur.
“It is a great place for children because so many games are available for kids such as Fried Frogs,” said Kaur.
Games are also available for adults, including some traditional games, such as Dragon Drop, Milk Can Toss, Water Gun Fun, and Catrack.
Calaway Park offers so many food options to its guests, such as Calaway Cafe, Burger Bistro, Carousel Kitchen, and Dockside Diner.
The Calaway Cafe offers salad, hot dogs, and hamburgers. On the other side, Dockside Diner offers poutine, lemonade, and ice-creams.
“The staff is friendly, and many food options are available,” said Kaur.
Carousel Kitchen offers poutine, chicken fries, and pulled pork sandwiches. Timber Falls Pizza Co. is the fourth fast-food place that offers cheese pizza.
“The price is reasonable, and the food quality is just awesome,” said Kaur.
The 3D Theatre is another reason for visiting this park, and different showtimes are available from morning to evening.
“I advise you to visit 3D theatre because it is great fun to watch a show with the whole family,” said Kaur.
Camping at Calaway Park:
Travellers who want to stay at Calaway, then camping is a great option for them.
Stay and Play package is available for visitors who want to enjoy camping. It includes two nights stay at the camping site, and it costs approximately $160.
“I love camping at Calaway Park, and the place is clean and well-maintained,” said Kaur.
The facility of camping is available on May 15 – May 28 during weekends, and May 29 – Sept 7 during weekdays.
“I really enjoyed at Calaway Park, and I am looking forward to visiting again,” said Kaur.
Calaway Park is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
